2019 Annual Conference: Soaring to Success

Risk Radar Panel website 72

Over 650 decision makers and strategists from the world's most influential aerospace
companies braved record snow storms to attend PNAA's 18th Annual Conference

PNAA’s Annual Aerospace Conference reflected another year of growth and a memorable experience for all who participated.  Although Seattle Snowmageddon certainly added some unexpected excitement, the inclement weather had little impact on the long-awaited event, with standing room only during the snowy Tuesday start.  Over 650 professionals, representing over 350 companies attended the conference, traveling from 35 states, four Canadian provinces and 12 countries.  Other cluster collaborating organizations were in attendance, including INWAC, AUVSI, AFA, NWAN, BABC, AIAC, and KADA.

This year brought back sought-after industry analysts and keynote speakers from Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and more.  We had several new multinationals join us, including Collins Aerospace, GKN, Parker Aerospace and Oerlikon, in addition to exciting and innovative northwest companies, including AIM Aerospace, Dylan Aerospace and Continuous Composites. Attendees received the most up-to-date market outlooks, learned about the potential impacts of how geo-politics may impact the aerospace ecosystem, learned about fresh technologies and heard stories of inspiration.

This year featured new conference activities, such as the Technology Zone and Keiretsu Corners, enhanced audio/visual, and a portion of Thursday dedicated to New and Expanding Technologies, or NExT. NExT is PNAA’s exciting new program on emerging non-traditional aerospace segments such as autonomous, electric propulsion, space, and other segments that inspire and ignite the imagination for the NExT era in aerospace.

The conference also featured familiar activities such as our popular Monday International Reception.  Additionally, the Awards Banquet recognized leading local aerospace companies MagniX, AIM Aerospace, Dylan Aerospace and Mitsubishi North America, along with companies and individuals who contributed to almost $30k raised for local aerospace scholarships.  PNAA’s B2B Fair hosted buyers from more companies than ever before, allowing manufacturing companies an opportunity to see if they are a good fit to work together.

The common feedback was that there was something different about the conference this year.  Attendees shared that that there was increased energy and that this was the largest and best PNAA Conference yet.  With record numbers of exhibitors, partner sponsors, companies and attendees, PNAA’s Aerospace Conference continues its upward trajectory, strengthening the position of PNAA and the events that contribute to the networking and education of the Northwest Aerospace Cluster.

We look forward to seeing you next year and at our other upcoming conferences and events.

Soaring to Success

Productivity & Affordability in the NExT Aerospace Era

PNAA's 18th Annual Aerospace Conference is February 11-14 at the Lynnwood Convention Center

As the decade comes to a close, aerospace companies are finding themselves in unchartered territory. With both soaring production rates and the new mid-size airplane on the horizon, companies are faced with the need to perform flawlessly and to step up and meet new industry expectations – especially around cost. To ensure longevity companies must embrace both concurrently.  Productivity without affordability and affordability without productivity will not secure future contracts.

Our 2019 conference examines the latest developments in next-generation affordability and productivity that can set you apart from your peers, enabling you to step up to requirements on quality, delivery and cost while simultaneously strengthening your own capabilities and growth potential. At our interactive three-day conference you’ll get to hear from industry experts, learn from companies at the head of the pack and engage in numerous executive networking and B2B opportunities.
