Aerospace executives donate 93 gifts to
Toys for Tots during PNAA's 2015 Holiday Party
Over 100 guests from leading aerospace companies donated an impressive assortment of toys to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program during PNAA’s Annual Holiday Party on Dec 10 in Mukilteo. Ninety three toys including remote control helicopters, Nerf rockets, Lego Jets, Minions and even a few dolls were donated to ensure that children around the Puget Sound experienced a little holiday cheer.
Windspeed Technologies Founder Shakil Hussein, inventor of the Skydeck describe the party with one word: "Awesome! It was well planned and I enjoyed the party setting, being able to stroll around the war birds... it felt majestic.”
“PNAA is proud to do its part to ensure that kids in the Pacific Northwest experience the magic of the holidays,” said PNAA’s Executive Director Bob Uptagrafft. “Our members go above and beyond sharing holiday cheer and this year was no exception. We are grateful to the Historic Flight Foundation Reenactors who accepted the gifts on behalf of the Marines and the great Toys for Tots Program. The donated gifts certainly lit up a few faces on Christmas morning.” Uptagrafft said.
This year’s holiday party took place at the Historic Flight Foundation and was sponsored by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea, Seattle. The Korean delegation brought 19 guests to the party, many with international connections.
Melanie Jordan, PNAA’s Chief Operating Officer, enjoyed getting to know the Korean delegation. “It was so nice to have an international presence at this year’s party. The mood of the crowd was jovial and as the volume of chatter rose – it was obvious that bonds of business friendship were strengthened through this aerospace camaraderie.”
