Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance Announces New Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer
REDMOND, WA – July 8, 2014 – Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance, the region’s leading aerospace industry group, today announced changes to its executive structure. Bob Uptagrafft, Sr. Project Manager and Aerospace Industry Specialist at Mukilteo based Impact Washington has been appointed Executive Director and former Executive Director, Melanie Jordan, will become the Chief Operating Officer.
Uptagrafft has served five years as an active PNAA Board member, most recently as Board Vice Chair, and ten years at the consulting firm of Impact Washington. With over 20 years of consulting to the manufacturing industry, he holds specific expertise in Strategic and Tactical Planning. JC Hall, PNAA’s Chairman of the Board said, “Bob possesses broad aerospace and manufacturing experience, making him the ideal choice to lead PNAA into the future. We’re all delighted that he’ll be joining PNAA as Executive Director and look forward to working with him.”
His first assignment will be attendance at July’s International Airshow in Farnborough, U.K., where a key alliance with another leading aerospace industry association will be announced.
As Chief Operating Officer, Melanie Jordan will focus on corporate operations and growing the strategic influence of PNAA through development of new programs and leveraging alliances both here and abroad. “PNAA continues to expand its programs and build partnerships to meet the growing demand for market intelligence and executive connections within our cluster,” Jordan said. “I look forward to working with Bob to strengthen and refine PNAA’s deliverables to our members.”
According to Hall, “These changes bring together the strengths of each executive, giving PNAA long term strategic planning and operational development which supports the growth of the organization.”
